Our faith in Jesus motivates us to work every day toward one mission:
Equipping Families & Restoring Childhoods.
Because every child deserves the chance to grow and become all that God created them to be.
At King's Ranch Ministries, we have had the privilege of hosting interns from many fields of study. Whether in the background with business operations or on the frontline with our families, our interns thrive in an environment of growth and opportunity. We strive to provide a quality experience that our students will learn and glean from in the years to come in their professional careers. Internship Opportunities:
Social Work Internship
A social work internship at King’s Ranch would supply you with opportunities to implement your knowledge and skills of social work, whether that is serving our families in a case management role, sitting in on therapy with our Attachment Therapist partner, or providing respite care for the children of the families we serve.
Business Administration Internship
As with every 501c3 non-profit, there is a business side to what we do. A business administration internship with King’s Ranch will give you a behind the scenes look at running a non-profit. You will have opportunities to sit in on board meetings, assist the Executive Director, and learn about operations of a non-profit.
Occupational therapy internship
Occupational Therapy is an important aspect when it comes to trauma. An occupational therapy internship at King’s Ranch will provide you with research opportunities on how trauma affects children, and how occupational therapy can help. You will be able to implement you skills with the children at King’s Ranch through assessments and plans for the families.
Creative Writing internship
If you are passionate about writing and about families who have been affected by trauma, a Creative Writing internship at King’s Ranch will give you the opportunity to work with both of those areas. Your writing can help with communication with our families, community outreach communication, as well as donor communication. You will also have the opportunity to create content based on our principles and programs.
*Internships available upon completion of the application and review process.
“Before I came to Kings Ranch, I was often asked what I wanted to do, and I could not give a straightforward answer. I always said that I liked everything about Social Work and was open to anything. I quickly learned that I love attachment therapy and working with children. I did not know this was even an option! My eyes were opened up to a whole new world of therapy. Everyone here is loving and very compassionate about what they do. Lee and the team pour into you and ensure you are okay and want to help in any way possible. I am stronger because of this team and my time at Kings Ranch. Most importantly, my relationship with Christ has grown tremendously. Everything done at Kings Ranch is pointed back to Christ, and this helps me remember when going into the field of Social Work that He is always in control and He has given us the tools to help others heal.”
